ENCO Tracks Updates for aiTrack

Novi, MI, April 3, 2025 – ENCO heads to NAB Show 2025 with new developments for aiTrack that opens its dynamic content insertion capabilities for ENCO’s DAD on-air radio automation system. ENCO will demonstrate an aiTrack application that can seamlessly produce and insert AI generated breaks and voice tracks. ENCO will demonstrate the latest aiTrack at Booth W1743 in Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall.

aiTrack was introduced last year as a generative on-air AI solution to engage listeners in new and diverse ways. aiTrack leverages generative AI models and synthetic speech engines to deliver engaging, dynamic content at any time, with instant turnaround and voice insertions of breaking news, weather, sports and more into live broadcasts. Its flexibility to create content on the fly and immediately take it to air moves the live radio experience into new territory, from simply enabling more content creation for AM/FM audiences to delivering personalized experiences for streamers, opening the door to more personalized content.

While ENCO can support many live and pre-scheduled insertions, aiTrack will offer broadcasters the freedom to develop more holistic strategies that blend human talent and AI content. For example, an AI-generated news or branding segment might follow live voice talent at the top of the hour, or perhaps an ad break could build-in AI-generated traffic and weather reports. No matter what the strategy may be, aiTrack offers the flexibility to build AI generative copy insertions with automated voice tracks into playlists well in advance of airtime.

“Radio stations have the power to customize aiTrack in ways that best suit their on-air environment, from morning drive time and on through the overnight, including the flexibility to schedule dynamic insertions anywhere within any playlist,” said Ken Froimmert, President, ENCO. “At certain times aiTrack might complement the live DJ or perhaps the morning team, and at others it may operate as the on-air personality. How a broadcaster uses aiTrack is up to their imaginations. There will be virtually no limits to how aiTrack can be used within the broadcaster’s on-air structure.”

aiTrack shines through intricate levels of customization. Users can add real-time interactive options for weather, news, sports and other information for local markets, with the freedom to schedule content in flexible ways that drive AI and playlist interactions. For example, users can schedule AI content with music scheduling and traffic systems, and interactions are made more colorful through pre-set voice types or custom cloned voices. Powerful AI-assisted script creation is useful for station branding within breaks for a natural sound, or sponsorships and underwriting at the start, end or within a break. Scripts planned in advance are auto-generated just ahead of playout to ensure relevancy.

aiTrack represents ENCO’s second generative AI solution following the explosive success of SPECai, an AI ad creation service introduced last year that is now operational at more than 1000 radio stations. ENCO has adopted a similar approach to aiTrack’s evolution, adding new features and capabilities that are often aligned with its strategic development plan, and other times as an organic response to customer requests. In October, ENCO added dozens of voices to aiTrack that created a foundation for customers to develop unique voices for their broadcast shows and overall brand. ENCO also added SPECai’s voice cloning feature to aiTrack, allowing on-air and production teams to replicate the voice of the client, on-air talent or another known presenter upon analyzing a short user-uploaded audio sample.

“Same as with SPECai, we will continue to improve aiTrack over time by bringing more choices to the customer,” said Frommert. “That will include the addition of an increasing variety of more emotional and natural sounding voices, and more flexible ways to merge real-time interaction with generative, dynamic content like weather, news and sports. Where SPECai leverages these toolsets for a very specific business purpose, aiTrack opens the skies when it comes to bringing more content – and more unique and local content – into the on-air experience. The possibilities are indeed endless.“
