ENCO Amplifies DAD Radio Automation Functionality for Music Formats

Southfield, Michigan, May 19, 2015 – ENCO announces the release of Multi-Play mode, a new feature available in the latest DAD radio automation software suite that greatly enhances Live-Assist functionality within the on-air workflow for music station formats. At its core, Multi-Play mode enables more intuitive console integration and seamless manipulation of audio assets. The Live-Assist Presenter module, when configured with Multi-Play mode, effectively displays to the operator exactly what is playing during segues and makes layering audio effortless. This integration results in Multi-Play Presenter, giving operators a highly agile, logical and easy-to-follow workflow that allows the operator to sequence and layer multiple, simultaneous audio tracks. Multi-Play Presenter ramps up workflow efficiency by simplifying how operators air music segues with multiple shotgun liners, or mix music beds with multiple voiceovers on the fly. Additionally, operators have the creative freedom to play elements out of scheduled order without having to re-arrange the playlist. Multi-Play Presenter also adds an intelligent console interface, which allows operators to control shows from console faders and bus keys with confidence. Importantly, transitioning from manual interaction to full automation with DAD remains as seamless as ever. “We designed the new Multi-Play mode based on input from many music stations that wanted more control and flexibility in their on-air interface,” said Ken Frommert, general manager, ENCO. “DAD version 15 with Multi-Play Presenter incorporates those demands and further enhances our software package to exceed the demands of the market.”

ENCO Wins Two NewBay Media Best of Show Awards at 2015 NAB Show

ENCO is proud to announce that its HotShot2 and EnStreamer products were presented with one of the industry’s most prestigious technology honors, NewBay Media’s Best of Show Award, at the 2015 NAB Show in Las Vegas. TV Technology recognized HotShot2, an instant audio playout and clip management package for live TV workflows, while Radio magazine awarded ENCO’s new audio/video decoder and automated player. Integrated within ENCO’s DADtv platform, HotShot2 provides instant access to audio assets anywhere locally or on the network via a searchable database. Supporting virtually unlimited number of audio files and types, HotShot2 can simultaneously play 16 audio streams across four assignable outputs, with drag-and-drop functionality to simplify content management on the fly. Operable using a mouse, touchscreen or custom-designed button pad, HotShot2 offers simple navigation across 640 easily accessible audio buttons, with a full-screen interface that eliminates windows and dialog boxes; and a color-coded, pre-labeled control surface that seamlessly correlates audio streams with the appropriate buttons. New features include more flexible audio transferring, instant trimming and cueing mechanisms, and an iPad control surface option. EnStreamer is a powerful scheduling and content distribution system for radio broadcast and in-store media applications. EnStreamer supports regionalized programming through scheduled switching, replacing station identifications, ads and news with localized content from continuously updated playlists. In addition to on-air radio, this dynamic, zone-specific capability well-positions EnStreamer for use across large, multi-site in-store radio and digital signage networks. Radio broadcasters can additionally benefit from EnStreamer’s reliable connectivity across long distances for primary or redundant studio-to-transmitter (STL) links. “Recognition with an award at the NAB Show from NewBay Media’s Broadcast & Video Group is a strong vote of confidence and admiration from our leading industry publications,” said NewBay Media Broadcast & Video Group Vice President & Group Publisher Eric Trabb.
